SRISTI SPECIAL SCHOOL

school children show

Sristi Foundation runs a Special School for the children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities from rural areas. The school offers education & training that aims to develop the pupils into self-reliant individuals. The school serves as an early intervention centre with a multi-disciplinary approach that focuses on managing basic individual and functional needs, physiotherapy & speech therapy. We take the advantage of being located on the farm by involving the children in basic farming activities that help to develop their motor skills and sensory development.

Here children are taught to take responsibility for themselves, along with being considerate and kind towards the needs of others.

Our teachers conduct a thorough assessment of every child’s background & needs to devise a suitable curriculum. We consider this as a preparatory stage in their pursuit of further studies or choice of occupation. It is our dream to enrol more children with disabilities from rural areas and to facilitate their commute to our school.
